Junk Records (Data Management)

The Junk Records report identifies ICOTS profiles without associated compact cases or transmitted compact activities. The dashboard shows state, profile ID, associated cases, supervised individual's name, date of birth, creation date, and user who created the record.

Charts break down records by presence of compact cases and activities, and list the top 10 users responsible for creating junk records. Filters include case association status and record creator.

Training Notes

Never include a junk record in a move case or merge request.

  • Profiles with no cases can only be deleted by the National Office. Report these records to the ICOTS helpdesk for deletion.
  • Profiles with cases containing no transmitted compact activities can be either deleted by state administrators or withdrawn by the assigned user.

Tip #1

Use the date filter to avoid deleting newly created records.
